Abstract
Berenice is a Mexican woman. She got married at seventeen and has a twenty-four-year-old son. To overcome a deep depression and lose weight she started to work out. That is how she found wrestling, a kind of training that has strengthened her body and soul. As she was born in a male chauvinist society, she struggles against gender stereotypes and looks for ways to defend the position she has reached. Today, she is one of the promises of women’s independent wrestling. Her name is Coral.
