Abstract

This article analyses the current structure of regional public channels in Colombia. It exposes the way the current model favors local and regional politicians in the public T.V. The framework for the analysis is the current ever changing context in which the medium is regulated. This merits a reconstruction and reinterpretation of its history, so that these changes are not oriented only to technology, but also to aspects that guarantee public television survival as well as a plural and independent medium system.
