Abstract
This article is based on a discursive analysis that proposes, from the framework of a doctoral thesis, a study of the discursive construction of freedom present in the lyrics of Argentine rock-pop from the period 1982-1989, from the end of the Malvinas War until the resignation of former President Raúl Alfonsín in 1989. To these effects, the construction of freedom in the lyrics is understood as a theme of diverse discussions: 1) there is reference to liberation in relation to military withdrawal; 2) a playful approach to life is presented, and 3) an individual manifestation is seen in a framework of democratic coexistence. In this regard, this paper will emphasize the last reference, based on the analytical exposition of four lyrics that will allow us to understand two relevant positions: the evasive perspective and the isolated observation of the real and libertarian.
