Abstract
This photographic essay reflects upon an intimate family experience of death, in the context of the Colombian armed conflict. It is about the rotting of the body that follows the violent act of murder. ¨They killed the boys¨ is a phrase that triggers the meeting of the artist´s family with death and the desperate search for bodies, before the natural organic cycle disappears them back to the earth.
