Abstract
Dr. Angela Diaz Barriga, Mexican researcher, author of texts, documents, lectures and research related to educational evaluation, was invited by the Faculty of education in May 2007, to conduct a conference on assessment. It marks the lecturer in the historical process which has passed the assessment and its importance as a field of research in education and pedagogy, as well as its relationship with decision-making in the political-educational.
