Any article submitted to the MEDIACIONES journal must comply with submission and editorial policies, which requires strict adherence to the following aspects:
- Use of the official article submission template: Manuscripts must follow the official template provided by the journal and meet the formal requirements.
- Submission form duly completed and signed: Each author must complete and sign the submission form, thus accepting the terms and conditions stated in this document.
Articles meeting initial format and thematic requirements will undergo a double-blind peer review process. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers will remain anonymous, and for the sake of objectivity, no member from the publishing institution will participate as a reviewer. The process includes the following criteria:
-
Selection of reviewers: Reviewers will be chosen based on their expertise, recognition, and knowledge in the article's subject area.
-
External reviewers: All reviewers will be specialists from national or international institutions, who will assess the article's quality, relevance, and significance to determine its suitability for publication.
-
Evaluation criteria: Reviewers will assess the originality of the contribution, relevance of theoretical references, methodological appropriateness, and importance of the reported findings.
-
Evaluation results: Each article will be reviewed by two reviewers from different institutions than those of the authors, with the following possible outcomes:

The peer review process in the MEDIACIONES journal includes an evaluation instrument that covers key aspects of the submitted manuscripts.
-
Form: This criterion examines the manuscript's formal structure, ensuring compliance with presentation guidelines, correct use of citations and references, and coherence in the writing style and format. The article should follow the IMRD (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion) structure to ensure clarity and consistency.
-
Substance: This criterion evaluates the depth and relevance of the article’s content, assessing originality, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field of communication. The research must be well-grounded theoretically, present significant findings, and align with the themes and objectives of the journal.
