Authors who publish in the journal MEDIACIONES agree to the following conditions:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, under a Creative Commons: Attribution - NonCommercial - NoDerivs license. This license allows third parties to use the content as long as the authorship and original publication in this journal are acknowledged.
  2. Authors may establish additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the article in this journal (e.g., placing it in an institutional repository or a book) as long as they clearly indicate the original publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., on institutional or personal websites) before and during the review and publication process, which can lead to productive exchanges and greater, faster dissemination of published work.

On Translation Processes

To increase reach and accessibility, MEDIACIONES will publish all content in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, including abstracts in these languages. Authors may submit their article in any of these languages and agree to provide the final version in the required language, following the previously explained instructions.

If authors are unable to provide the translation, the Journal will manage the translation service, and submission implies acceptance of the article’s translation under Andean Decision 351 of 1993 and Article 5 of Law 23 of 1982. Accordingly, authors or their successors authorize the transformation of their work through the Article Submission Format for translation, adaptation, arrangement, or other transformations, pending their consent.
