Abstract

This article summarizes the main conclusions of the book Cine colombiano: cánones y discursos dominantes (Pedro Adrián Zuluaga, Idartes, 2013), from there, it follows them, as well as questions them, looking at two journalistic publications (magazines “Arcadia” and “Semana”), and one cultural event (“Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias”). This analysis will show the mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion that operate in the cultural tradition and respond to institutional interests, geopolitical and geoaesthetical.
