Call for papers issue #31 July - December 2023

Monographic issue dedicated to “Communication, citizenship and peace”.

Editors: Joan Pedro-Carañana (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), Eliana HerreraHuérfano (Universidad Minuto de Dios) and Ángel Carrasco-Campos (Universidad de Valladolid).

In collaboration with the VIII ULEPICC-Spain Conference 'Communication and Peace' (2023), issue 31 of Mediaciones welcomes proposals that analyze communication in the framework of social conflicts, war and peace and the role of citizens as key actors. It will take into account the communicative structures, practices and processes in human and social rights, equality, diversity and democracy that are essential to understand and transcend the problems that citizens, journalists and communicators face in different contexts and geographic locations. Therefore, the central objective of this monograph is to create a space for dialogue and reflection on peace-building processes, understood as social justice, its challenges, difficulties and controversies.
