The journal Mediaciones is a biannual publication of scientific, academic and creative diffusion, edited by the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios - UNIMINUTO. It is conceived as a space for creation and reflection structured around the central axis of communication and its mediations, understood as a field of inter and transdisciplinary knowledge, in which the following lines are explored:

• Communication and citizen participation: languages, ways of thinking, media and participatory communication processes. Reflection and understanding of the communicative processes that contribute to social development. The topics included here are: recognition of community participation, problematization and conceptualization of participation in communication, conflict management - communicative scenarios of coexistence, construction of networks among social actors, problematization in the field of communication and development, identification and characterization of experiences implemented by communities, interlocution processes of communities and commitment to communication for social change.

• Communication and culture: Meaning, relationship and interaction in the dynamics of socio-cultural and political transformation. The topics included here are: Communicative transformation in technological fields, subjectivity, communicative manifestations in contemporary contexts, intercultural communication and discursivity and language.

• Communication and education: The topics included here are: Relationship between subject formation and construction of meaning, communication practices in educational spaces, tensions between the schooling project of modernity and the crisis of traditional institutions, and generation of alternative spaces.

• Audiovisual thinking: creation, signification and representations based on image, sound and corporealities. Some of the topics are: Problematization of the use of the image in community contexts, generation of proposals for appropriation and reading of the image, sound and corporealities, social mobilization from representation.

The journal comprises the following sections:

• Editorial: Reflective space that exposes the importance of the articles addressed in each issue and their contribution to the field of communication.

• Research and innovation: This section gathers contributions corresponding to contributions of new knowledge resulting from research, innovation and research-creation completed or in process.

• Reflections: This section publishes reflections and reviews on specific topics from an analytical, interpretative and critical perspective of the author.

• Artefactos: This section is dedicated to making graphic, audiovisual, sound, multimedia and transmedia works visible.

• Reviews: Critical commentary on a publication relevant to the field.

MEDIACIONES journal invites teachers, researchers, creators, leaders, managers, students, independent or linked to public, private, multilateral or community organizations and institutions to submit their contributions to this space.

Mediaciones maintains an open and permanent call for the reception of proposals, as well as thematic calls for monographic issues.
