Abstract
In this article derived from research, the social responsibility practices developed by a Colombian university (Corporation Universitaria Minuto de Dios) are reviewed as a materialization of a university social responsibility policy. With a qualitative methodology of empirical-hermeneutic and inferential cutting and taking as a reference the recent discussion on university social responsibility in a critical perspective Latin American. From this, the representations that the actors have constructed regarding the practice itself and with respect to other actors are exposed. It is proposed that community interaction and citizenship training produce a functional political subjectivity that questions the exclusion and subordination structures characteristic of Western modernity.
