Pedagogy: a strategic complement for environmental education

Abstract

A qualitative-based and documental investigation process was used in the present research, this includes a so­ciocritic and hermeneutic approach to analyze the importance, functionality, relation and standards in the selec­tion and implementation of pedagogical strategies for environmental-related education. Environmental-related education has been historically limited in its interests by wrong approach strategies, although its transversality and interdisciplinarity. The investigation was carried out at Institución Educativa Departamental Nuestra Se­ñora del Carmen, General Santander, Lenguazaque, Cundinamarca municipality. As a way to solve the above described issue, a didactic booklet was designed. In such booklet, a series of strategies, recommendations and standards for the didactic development of environment-related education in the classroom –taking into account aspects such as experiential, reflective, conceptual, dynamic, creative and innovative processes.
