Food as epistemological category. An account of a critical educational process for adults

Abstract

The aim of this work is to make visible and conceptualize the food as epistemological category to be used in an adult learning process, which starts from a key question: How to generate an adult literacy process through food? The answer to that question outlines two methodological objectives: one regarding to research and the other one regarding to pedagogical action, both of which aim to propose an educational action that strengthen the teachinglearning processes of teachers from the food and the kitchen. It is a collective meeting to re-signify by means of the lexical and symbolic universe of food with the educational community of the semillero de investigación Expedición Dignidad la Comida al Centro del Pensamiento —Universidad de Antioquia—.
