Development of a virtual learning object to promote autonomy in children with autism in the basic areas

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the creation of a virtual learning objects to evaluate, improve and enrich from the different core areas, empower students with special educational needs of The Gagné Guilford High School, who are enrolled Primary grade leveling.

We created a software application in the Jclic program, to support the student’s learning with autism in the core curriculum areas and support the development of autonomy. Also valued the importance of theoretical training and practical attitude to start or strengthen processes of integration and inclusion of people with autism to the regular classroom. It was possible to strengthen the autonomy of students with autism through support multiple virtual object (auditory and visual). Finally getting children to interact independently with the software (without help from an adult), generating a step to decide and act for himself.
