The formative sense of professional teaching practices

Abstract

Professional Teaching Practices are part of the formation of a professional ethically responsible and socially committed. It is a challenge that calls for educational innovation and continuous reflection of everyday life. Only the reflection of own teaching permit renewal and relevance of knowledge and competencies required of teacher training.

The teacher is part of the transformation processes in society and therefore is an agent should consider its mission in education in a country like ours and the social responsibility that involves teaching practice in contexts where their experience, views, skills, strategies, leadership, conviction, principles and values, human qualities and attitudes researchers can work with students by scenarios and realities that will take us from dehumanizing conditions more humane conditions.

What kind of education corresponds to today’s world, how to make a good teacher and the quality of your teaching? How to move beyond the formative sense of professional practices in a teacher? What is the professional activity of teaching? Where tests the skills required? Are higher education institutions giving enough importance to teachers’ professional practices of its students? It is the teacher who is responsible from their pedagogical practice required to seek knowledge as an end in itself, tackle the future with confidence and generate processes which each does so in a responsible manner.
