Abstract

In this contribution we recover some ideas from the Aristotelian logic method in order to observe some of its qualities within the teaching of critical thinking. To achieve this goal, we follow two steps: first we expound a model of critical thinking that we call Aristotelianized critical thinking and then we show the results of an experiment using this model. With this
we offer some empirical evidence of the favorable performance of a group of students trained in an Aristotelianized critical thinking course, especially in the face of irrelevance.
