The disciplinary field of social pedagogy
Main Article Content
Abstract
Educational theories ought to go beyond theoretical discourses and should be oriented towards taking up social responsibilities, a concept ostensibly condemned to oblivion. In this article the author proposes a conceptual model for social education applicable to different types of institutions. This study examines its components and applications and some basic concepts to be considered for a curricular design on social education (teaching, curriculum, evaluation) so as to fill the gap left by the short lifespan of social education as a discipline: the educational contents it should promote.
