Context, criticism and intentionality in social action: a proposal to understand social work

Abstract

This proposal understands social work, both at researching and intervention levels, as a way of building knowledge and addressing professional action in social processes. Here three elements are highlighted: context, criticism and intentionality. Only when those three concepts are taken into account, we can have a better understanding about what social work should be.
