Abstract

The use of hand tools used by women doing the cutting roses in flower crops in the savannah of Bogotá has generated various occupational diseases and ergonomic risks as those generated by postures inadequate in performing the task force magnitude exercised and repetitiveness of actions that make up the task or job.

This study seeks to provide design guidelines manual scissors used for work in growing roses from postural analysis and technical grip on the female population in the floriculture sector, since most of the population is female; the results are based on measurements by observing 50 workers, which allowed further evaluation variables as range of motion, dynamic actions, perceived exertion, forced, grips, movements and characteristics of scissors. These direct variables were compared with information obtained through a survey, which asked about the types of scissors used in the sector, and this was measured on these scissors comfort perceived by workers, ease mobilize your hand and wrist and maintenance doing it, taking a proper assessment using a goniometer, sustained low standards and proven methods such as: Okra, rula, Job Strain Index and ISO 11228-3 standard: 2007.
