Beekeeping analysis in Soacha

Abstract

The research of this article is an idea aimed at the performance, aspects and best production techniques of the beekeeping activity, based mainly on economic and environmental development. This research has the purpose of advancing an adequate management supported in optimal agricultural practices, seeking
that its quality predominates more than its quantity. For this reason, a bibliographic research is proposed that allows to document and know the apicultural models and thus promote improvements that guarantee a social and economic development of the sector.

The beekeping sector in Colombia is located in an uncompetitive position compared to other countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Japan, and other beekeepers. However, Colombia currently has optimal geographical characteristics that provide appropriate climatic zones, a wide range of flora and large water sources. It is these three variables that allow us to design and implement actions that strengthen this agroindustrial sector and thus be competitive worldwide.
