Abstract

In this brief essay I intend to present and portray the close similarity of two historical and vital characters in the understanding of education
in the Americas, masters in the art of inventing, Simón Rodríguez and Augusto Boal. In the brief lines of this writing, a first moment, fleeing from chronological biographies, ran the trail left by some stories that marked the trajectories of Rodríguez and Boal, and thus be able to portray some points that would reflect the conceptual proximity, intellectual and spiritual that unites the characters. And to conclude this essay I try to sketch their inventions and ways of living, as possible inventions and ways of living education. But what affected me and awakened in me the desire to write about these two characters? What similarities have I found (and find) in my readings that bring them together and make me conceive of them as masters in the art of  inventing? What do Rodríguez and Boal, citizens of the same Latin America, separated by centuries, share and vibrate in common? I write about Rodríguez and Boal thinking about education, art and philosophy present in their works and in their lives.
