Abstract

This paper is the result of a research on the housing experiences of Conapamg in Guatemala, and in Cuenca Norte, in Guararí de Heredia, Costa Rica. Authors show the change in the conception of housing as a human right to its conception as a merchandise good. There is a section focused on the denial of the right to the city, on the grounds of unequal relations legitimated by discriminatory rationalities, which limit the access of the public to the broad underprivileged segment of population.
