Emaús plants water to get autonomy: resisting from daily life
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper reports the findings of the research carried out since 2003, where we raised the question about the relationship between water, its value, and people´s daily life. Here, daily life is understood as an activity of resistance that builds local autonomy around water problems in the Atlantic coast of Colombia. The research had a trans-disciplinary approach combined with a qualitative and empirical methodology. Besides, it implied fieldwork documentation and revision of global standards for water management, in the context of the Colombian conflict in the village of Emaús (Magangué-Bolivar).
