Description of consumption of psychoactive substances in undergraduate students from first semester at psychology program

Abstract
The consumption of psychoactive substances has been an interesting topic for academic, political, and health sectors. Majority of epidemiological and descriptive investigations conclude in the increase trend in the prevalence of consumption and the decrease in age of onset. This situation shows that this phenomenon increases progressively in younger consumers. There is a need to carry out a descriptive study that reveals the characteristics of consumption of psychoactive substances in undergraduate students from first semester of psychology program from “Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios-Uniminuto”, in Bogotá – Colombia. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the problem based on its prevalence and impact.
