Abstract

The exercise of academic writing has been convulsed by the excessive use of the method of complexity. However, this conception popularized by Morin has been distorted in the contemporary era by events far removed from those originally proposed. This article aims to develop a reflection on the fetish for this word in academic activity taking as a starting point the homology that Zizek makes about Marx and Freud, using Lacan's psychoanalytic principles. Finally, it proposes to face capitalist schizophrenia in university cloisters by confronting the scientific machinery, and taking a critical stance or capacity for agency in the face of the organisms that create this symptom in social researchers.
