Bibliometric analysis of the educational inclusion of sexually diverse students in secondary institutions
Main Article Content
Abstract
The integration of sexually diverse students in the classroom and the implementation of inclusive curricula that respond to the educational demands of a heterogeneous student body are essential to be able to speak of educational inclusion. This review article aims to identify the studies that are being carried out around the educational inclusion of LGBTI+ students. The methodology corresponds to a retrospective, quantitative and descriptive bibliometric study, the documents were selected from the search equation TITLE-ABS-KEY ("student inclusion" or "inclusion sexually diverse students in schools" or ""LGBTI students in the schools" or "sexual diversity in schools and colleges"), where the terms could be present in the title, abstracts and keywords of the published documents. The results report 112 documents, of which only 77 were associated with the topic of interest for this research, the investigations are located between years 2001 and 2021, evidencing that it is since the year 2018 where the studies that link the variable are intensified, therefore, from 2018 to 2021, 56 documents were disclosed, which are 72.7% of the total registered. After the analysis, it is considered essential to actively involve the teacher, committing their pedagogical work and including methodological and didactic strategies that allow eliminating discrimination in the classroom.
