Putting the social worker’s job together through research
Main Article Content
Abstract
The social worker’s job has been seen as related to spaces addressed from philanthropy. Social work is classified as a profession aimed at collective well-being, particularly of vulnerable groups. However, current circumstances demand a broader and deeper view, which accounts for social reality as a whole.
Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the importance of research as a tool to promote inclusion and transformation settings, according to the different methods of intervention. It is also important to take into consideration reconceptualization as a key aspect in the development of social work, as it makes it
possible to question the social worker’s job and practices as an agent who promotes educational and innovative processes, as well as continuous learning
