Abstract

This reflection is the result of an education experience in the Mi Ambiente Pedagógico [My Pedagogical Background] Research Incubator Program. The teaching practicums, the research process and the pedagogical proposal (praxeology) show the importance of motivation in the teaching and learning processes.
The authors analyze some theoretical background about motivation, and highlight its importance in the teaching and learning processes. They outstand the teacher’s—and the educational community’s—role and the use of information and communication technologies as essential tools to generate learning environments which contribute to improve children’s quality of life and educational quality.
