Abstract

The text set out here is intended, as a first step, to study the foundations of the Heideggerian concept of the One. Proposed as a second step, he seeks to delve into the plot built by American filmmaker Larry Charles in his film The Dictator (2013). The end of this submersiveness lies in the analysis of the behavior manifested by the main character of the feature film: Admiral General Aladeen. In this order of ideas, it seeks to demonstrate the clear influence of the One on the transformation of Aladeen, so much so that the denatured man wants to break his nation’s ideological tradition by giving way to a new model of systematic organization. The text closes with a signal to a number of key pieces within the film, these fragments give evidence of the authority put on the part of the One in the life of a man who pursues the idea of a supposed revolution in front of the world.
