Abstract

The need to establish a job or occupation for personal development has led human beings to consolidate
activities within a productive system that demands an improvement of production and productivity indicators
every day. Hence the importance of recognizing how occupational health was born and how it developed in the world and, particularly, in the Colombian labor context. This recognition is carried out through a documentary review that shows the historical dynamics of occupational health, its scope and, fundamentally, its tendencies, all of this in order to establish a projective perspective for the development of future innovation and research projects.
