Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents the research process that was carried out in the Departmental Educational Institution Bolívar, headquarters of the municipality of Ubaté, Cundinamarca. The project is oriented to the study of the situation related to the integral management of solid waste produced within the school context, where it is evident that the misuse and inadequate handling of waste goes against human rights. The Political Constitution of Colombia stablishes “the right of a healthy and dignified environment”, which indicates that the presented problem is not alien or invisible to the co-responsibility that concerns us as citizens and professionals of the Bachelor degree in Child Pedagogy. Therefore, we must be able to strengthen inquiry processes that help to understand more accurately and directly the different situations presented in the Educational Institution. Generating didactic, playful pedagogical strategies that allow the generation of positive thinking and responsible environmental behavior. In this way, the school is promoting activities that contribute significantly to care, protection of the environment and the school context, seeking to raise awareness about it through environmental education
