Transformation as an Imperative: Innovation and Action for Social Development

Abstract
This editorial introduces a new issue of Revista Perspectivas, focused on transformation as an imperative for contemporary human and social development. The articles included in this edition address transformation from multiple dimensions—educational, technological, economic, and social—emphasizing the need to move from diagnosis to strategic action through rigorous research and applied innovation. In the educational field, the issue highlights Action Research as a driver of social change, as well as the role of emerging technological tools, such as artificial intelligence, in virtual higher education. From an economic and business perspective, the contributions analyze initiatives related to agricultural entrepreneurship, innovation in agri-food associations, and the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly in rural contexts. Additionally, studies promoting social inclusion through accessible tourism and the strengthening of institutional trust in public security policies are presented. Overall, this issue reaffirms that transformation, grounded in research and innovation, is the pathway toward sustainable, equitable, and inclusive development.
