A pedagogical experience towards the construction of peace in the scope of the university

Abstract

Law 1732 of 2014 and regulatory decree 1038 of 2015 promote peace as a right and obligation for preschool, basic and middle education, both official and private; nevertheless, the formal structure of the norm suggests peace as an imposition, omitting the true meaning of this concept. Higher education is not included in the articles of national laws; however, responsibility for public and general interest matters falls within its functions. In this sense, the present text offers a reflection on the experience of the chair of peace in the university scope and how its development contributes to the understanding of peace as a social and subjective process.
