Construction of the maternal role of a child with disabilities: reflections from a group psychological accompaniment

Abstract

It is vitally accompany and bring support for take the role of fatherhood in the correct way in case of physically disabled or intellectual disability, for that reason as part of the strategic plan for “la linea de Discapacidad de Proyección Social de la Corporación Universidad de Investigación y Desarrollo”, we designed and applied a proposal of accompaniment psychology group, started of the effects to realize at full analysis about of constitution mother-son bound and a methodological proposal for systematization of experience, with the objective of understanding the effects of intervention and development the strategies used for accost this population. For the design, it was taken into consideration as the characteristics of the tye that are established in infancy and the type of attachment developed by the main caretakers influences the construction of the psyche and Thus , will serve as the basis for the construction of relationships during adolescence and adults. However, sometimes difficulties parents encounter could be due to theirself conflicts to regulate their ambivalence and deal with the weaknesses typical of the developmental stage, which it’s dramatically expressed by adding the duels of raising a child with a disability, being pertinently accompanying them in their parental role, offering the possibility of the subjective construction
of it. Its a proposal for the intervention of emotional skills for the care of a child with disabilities, a reflective analysis of the experience taking as its axis the analysis of subjectivity in the construction of the maternal role, routines and daily life of the mother of a child with a disability and the recommendations for intervenciones bu motores of días les children and taking as axes for the systematization of the experience in future applications with groups of parents.
