Main Article Content
Abstract
On March 31, 1983 at 8:15 a.m. an earthquake of 5.5 on the Richter scale shook the city of Popayan for approximately 18 seconds. From this moment on, the history of the capital of the department of Cauca was divided into a before and after. In the search for the voices and protagonists of the post-earthquake process, #terremoto83 was born, a research-creation project designed from a perspective that takes into account elements of communication, contemporary art and the decolonial option, thought with the objective of generating spaces of encounter, collective memory and intergenerational dialogue among the inhabitants of Popayán about one of the most significant recent events in the city. #terremoto83 is developed through a methodological proposal divided into three key moments: Design of the narrative and planning of the components that make up the strategy/experience, its implementation and finally its documentation and systematization. The experience, which counted on the active participation of diverse audiences through the generation, use and interaction of contents, used diverse digital resources and tools, expanding the story through multiple media, supports and languages. Among its main results, #terremoto83 obtained a look beyond the official story of the event, thinking of the periphery as one of the spaces of struggle and urban and social transformation of the white city of Colombia.
