Transmethodology: A classroom mediation-action research experience towards communication and social intervention strategies
Main Article Content
Abstract
The design of communication strategies in university classrooms transcends the mere transmission of techniques and tools towards in-depth reflection. This reflection is encouraged with knowledge related to their own ethical behavior, which is conjugated with other knowledge about understanding cultural, social, political, and economic tensions, the discernment about the complexity of the relationships of the subjects in their territories, and, finally, the creative knowledge that generates transformations. Thus, the transmethodological experience of Mediation-Action Research (IMA) in the subject Mediations for Social Action has favored the construction of strategic proposals by students of Social Communications and Journalism of the School of Strategic Communication and Advertising of the Central University in Bogotá. The implementation of these actions has left classroom learnings on key issues of doing and thinking communication because of the connection of knowledge about research, teaching and social reality.
