Abstract

Evaluative research of action research (AR) as a teaching method for university students in mathematics education in Mexico. AR and reflective practice constitute the theoretical foundations of this paper. This document reports a qualitative research carried out through a case study research, 28 final AR reports made by students from diferent semesters were analysed: 9 from 2014, 8 from 2016 and 11 from 2018. Principal focus of this evaluation is the congruence between the theoretical elements and the interpretation of the data collected by the students. Conclusions of this study show us the students do not establish the relationship between theoretical elements and the data interpretation, however their reflective practice has allowed them to transform and improve their practice.
