Multilingualism, a double-edged sword
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this article is to reflect on the abandonment to which we have subjected our languages in order to give way to foreign languages under the pretext of multilingualism. To articulate this reflection, we highlight a series of previous investigations that show a need for cultural exchange in plurilingualism, while also discussing the little or no interference that Colombian native languages have with this multicultural process. At the end of the article, we show the need to apprehend these languages as the main ingredient for the construction of a sense of belonging.
